Mater Dei Ministries is founded in order to share the Catholic faith with special attention given to the Virgin Mary, the mother of God. Hence, the name Mater Dei Ministries. In additional to being the Foundress of Mater Dei Ministries, I am a member of the Order of Preachers in the Province of St. Joseph (the Eastern Province) of the United States.
The Order of Preachers, or more commonly known as the Dominican Order, has a great love for Our Blessed Mother and “all things Marian”. With this in mind, the Dominicans worldwide promote the daily recitation of the rosary. There is a longstanding tradition of Our Lady giving the rosary to St. Dominic, the founder of the Order of Preachers, which is affectionately known as the “Marian Psalter”. Additionally, there is the annual Marian consecration that is prayed by members of the Order to fortify our relationship with the Queen of Heaven.

In addition to being a Dominican, I also spend time with my rosary apostolate. The goal of the apostolate is the propagation of the faith through teaching people what the rosary is, its significance, and the discipline of praying the rosary daily. To help facilitate this process I collect unwanted rosaries, broken rosaries, and handmade rosaries then distributes them to those in need worldwide. Prior to distribution every rosary has been blessed by a Dominican Friar.
As part of part of my parish life, I lead the altar linens ministry (laundering and maintaining the altar linens for the parish) as well as the repair and restoration of liturgical vestments.
In my personal time I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, and various forms of art.
Thank you for joining me here and I hope that we can connect in social media as well!
Be assured of my prayers. May God continue to infinitely bless you.
In Christ and Holy Father Dominic,
KellyAnn Carpentier
